Burstow, Surrey

John Flamsteed (1646-1719) was rector of St. Bartholomew's, Burstow, from 1684 to 1719 in order to support himself as Astronomer Royal. He was buried there in the chancel, in an unmarked grave, now lost. There is a memorial plate in the chancel.
